The Deco Collection by Catherine Martin

This collection is the confluence of the playfulness and romance of the French Art Deco styles that permeated my childhood and the forward-looking energy of American Art Deco that surrounds me in my second home of New York.

Developing the designs for these rugs allowed me to draw on both of these inspirations to create a collection that brings together my French past and the American Art Deco inspirations of my present.

I’m very proud to have collaborated with Designer Rugs on my first hand-knotted range. This new collection is meticulously hand-crafted using the finest natural yarns by Nepalese artisans whose skills have been passed on from generation to generation. These rugs hold the memories of something past in both their creation and manufacture but nevertheless look toward the future in their design spirit.
