Designer Profile: Caroline Baum

Caroline Baum's  Sand Script rug collection is inspired by the mysterious  calligraphic patterns made by sea snail colonies on the  rock shelf near her home on the pristine beaches of the south coast of new South Wales. 

'The backdrop of the rock, rich and vivid with minerals,  created a colourful  natural canvas for the gorgeous abstract landscapes made by molluscs. Each day, the tide washes them away. The rug designs are a lasting interpretation of their daily scribbles.' 

Each rug is unique and meticulously hand knotted from Tibetan wool and silk. Opulent and timeless, each piece tells a story.
