As part of the State of Design Festival 2011, Designer Rugs hosted two seminars on Thursday 28th July exploring the theme ‘Design that Moves'.

Award winning artist-designer Simone LeAmon was the MC of the event, joined by Julie Paterson from Cloth Fabric, Stephen Ormandy from Dinosaur Designs and Designer Rugs' Senior Designer Lia Pielli.

The seminars explored how design can transform our environment and move us physically and emotionally; how colour resonates, and how we are moved when we look at something beautiful, such as when we design a custom rug an emotional connection is made when you make it your own.

The panel took the audience through an hour of fun, inspiration, stories and lots of hand gestures. The guests enjoyed catering by Ed Dixon and Sandhurst Foods, while two lucky people won the door prize; a voucher for 12 month subscription with Indesign magazine our media partner for the event.
